Access: from Colico to Piona, then for Borgonuovo-Fumiarga, then Sparesè.

A number of abandoned quarries (since more than 60 years), mining feldspar & muscovite from pegmatitic veins. The biggest quarry is in the woods, about 100 metres north-east of Alpe Sparesè, below the access road.

The quarry is at 616 meters above sea level.
