Former coal mine started in 1902 and closed in 1970. Total yield: over 22 million metric tons.

The dumps of the mine are burning.

Some IDs of e.g. adranosite-(Fe), halotrichite, kremersite, rozenite were obtained
- by visual ID (colour, crystal shapes),
- by proving the presence or absence of certain ions (chloride, sulphate, Al3+, NH4+, Fe3+) by microchemical tests, and
- by comparing specimens with images on Mindat from the nearby Anna Mine ( https://www.mindat.org/loc-13825.html ).
No Raman spectrometry or EDX have been performed on these specimens (yet).

Bismite confirmed with EDX and Raman.
