A currently (2022) inactive chromium mine which started in 1870 (Zaccarini et al., 2020).

The chromitite ore occurs as lenticular and irregular bodies hosted in a strongly serpentinized mantle peridotite. Brittle and brecciated forms are common in both ore and host rock.
