A crushed stone (aggregate) quarry in Collins Hill schist located upstream from the Middletown lead mine. Stugard (1958) shows it as the "Road Metal Quarry".

Percival, in McElrath et al (1853), while mentioning small ore veins near the Middletown lead mine to the north, describes what is probably this location:

The Revolutionary vein, so called, at a remote distance south of the mine, is such an obliquely cross or transverse vein, and is very small width, and contains but little ore. The schist is there more obviously micaceous, though approaching the peculiar schist of the mine, and is connected with an interposed bed of granite, which the vein traverses, as well as the schist.


Schooner (circa 1980s) reported arsenopyrite here with unconfirmed secondary minerals.
