Kovářská (German: Schmiedeberg) is a market town and municipality in Chomutov District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic.
Kovářská lies approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) west of Chomutov, 74 km (46 mi) west of Ústí nad Labem, and 105 km (65 mi) west of Prague.
Hydrothermal fluorite-baryte vein deposit developed for exploitation in the 1970s and 1980s but closed after the Velvet Revolution (which took place in November 1989). The deposit is part of a vein system that extends from Kovářská via Niederschlag (deposit worked by the Niederschlag mine) to Scheibenberg.
In the surrounding area, iron skarn bodies and old silver mines also occur. In former times, there were smelters, where iron ores from ambient deposits were processed.
