A group of former Pb-Ag-Zn mines, located in secs. 11, 13 & 14, T19S, R40E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) NNW of Darwin. Worked in the 1920’s. They were owned by members of the Ruona family (Alex Ruona, Marie Wilson-Ruona and Hilma Ruona). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is . The correct spelling of the name is Ruona, since Alex. R. was of Finland where this is a common name (Ruona = Creek in Finland).
