Eiksunddalen eklogittkompleks, Hareidlandet, Ulstein, Møre og Romsdal, Norge
Eiksunddal eclogite complex within the Western Gneiss Region of Norway.
The eclogite is quartz-bearing, contains very minor kyanite and amphibole, and is characterized by red garnets in a groundmass dominated by green omphacite.
Some UHP eclogite pods on Hareidland show coesite inclusions in zircons.
The mineralist lists also minerals found in connection to surrounding gneises.
