Alteration: Silicification Of Tuffs, Sediments And Hydro Thermal Breccias. Propylitization Of Andesites And Basalts. Alteration Repoartedly Decreases With Depth.
Deposit: Area is reported to be only weakly mineralized. Pyrite reportedly present in the andesite, while antimony and arsenic oxides stain breccias and sinter. Anomalous silver values were reported from some breccias. Sample 3967 was taken from a silicified shear zone or vein at the main camp gregory mine shaft. Sample 3968 collected at the shaft west of the main shaft also had low metal values. Sample 3969 collected from an outcrop of quartz breccia also had low values.
Ore(s): Shear Zone; Hot Springs System
