The excavation for the section of the natural gas pipeline between Dayton Road and Raymond Road "produced a well known, one-time find, of three inch long euhedral epidote crystals associated with titanite and scapolite, in a cross-cutting quartz vein." Betts (1996 and 1999)
Geology includes meta-sedimentary rocks as well as small pegmatites.
Coordinates are for the mid-point of this pipeline section, not necessarily where the crystals were found.
