Gallena, Stazzema, Alpi Apuane, Lucca, Toscana, Italia
This locality in the Apuan Alps is near the Bottino mine, and presents similar occurrence of minerals.
Both places are intersected by hydrothermal veins hosted in Paleozoic metamorphic rocks, covered by Triassic metamorphic limestones. Beautiful samples were collected at the beginning of the eighties, during the construction of the road for the town of Gallena. Near Gallena there is an old mine that had the same minerals as the more famous Bottino mine.
