Old cobalt mines situated on the summit of the Svartfjellet mountain, on the land of the farm Svendsby, north of the Skuterud Mines.
The fahlbands (mines) are going in south - north direction.
During the years 1822-1849 these mines were operated by a company under the name Snarum Koboltverk (Snarum Blaafarveværk or Snarum Verk).
Compared with the old Modum Blaafarveværket this history is unknown. During the best years (1830-) over 250 workers worked in these mines.
