Smith (1977) reports that the Silver Mine Knob occurrences consist of Occurrence 10, the Richard Hammon mine, a caved adit and moderate size dump shown in Figure 76. R. Hammon reported a turntable for the mine car where the adit made a right angle turn at the contact between two different types of rock; Occurrence 11, a caved in adit shown in Figure 77; and Occurrence 12 shown in Figure 78, possibly the oldest working consisted of a smalll open cut with well leached gossan. The coordinates below are given for this occurrence, but Smith (1977) gives the coordinates for all known Zn-Pb occurence in Pennsylvania. These three occurrences are located in tectonically brecciated Tuscarora Formation quartzite. These higher-elevation occurrences have largely been leached of interesting minerals.
