The Haobadi deposit primarily consists of No.4, No.2 and No.8 ore bodies, occurring in the quartz greywacke at the upper part of the Wandianba Formation, intruded by Triassic granites. These ore bodies exhibit stratiform-like, lenticular, and podiform structures, all oriented in a NW-trending direction with a dip angle of 10–30°. A cumulative resource of ∼12,000 tons with an average grade of 0.81 %.
The strata exposed at Haobadi consist mainly of the Chujiashan Formation of Cambrian Mengtong Group, the Triassic Wandianba Formation, and the Tertiary siltstone and sandstone. The Chujiashan Formation is composed of sericite schist and phyllonite. The lower part of the Wandianba Formation is characterized by banded crystalline limestone and marble, while the upper part consists of quartz greywacke, carbonaceous shale, and limestone. Faults in the region exhibit various orientations, including NW-trending, SE-trending, and near E-trending faults. The Lailitoushan granite in the northern of the Haobadi tin deposit, with zircon U-Pb age of ∼232 Ma, are high-K calc-alkaline peraluminous granites and have negative zircon εHf (t) values (–26.8 to –8.2).

Note: In publications, the name of this deposit is reported as "Haobadi", but the Chinese name transliterates to "Haobade".
