Located on the Mann River 18kms West of upper Copmanhurst.

Gold reefs were found in the area in 1880.

Several mines are located in and around the district.
Several mines are located near in distance to the Jackadgery Bridge in the Grafton-Maclean Metallogenic publication and this has been shown as a sub-locality.

Rhodonite has been observed in river gravels in the area.
