Åvesland 2 feltspatbrudd (Suvalia), Åvesland, Evje og Hornnes, Agder, Norge


Andersen (1931) writes that there were three small prospects from which an insignificant quantity of feldspar has been mined.

The coordinates are given for the largest prospect, while the other can be found at: 58.60788°N 7.94117°Ø

During a short visit 12-07-2020 the third prospect could not be found.

Further study of the map resulted in the find of what might be the third one at:
58.60805°N 7.94261°Ø

The quality of the feldspar seems to have been rather poor in the two visited prospects.
