Mina Pilar (Mina de Yenefrito), Panticosa, Valle de Tena, Huesca, Aragón, España
Vein-type Pb-(Ag)-Zn deposit, intermittently worked since the Middle Ages. The last period of production ceased in 1950. Mining works, located on the left bank of the Barranco de Laulot, consists of three small horizontal galleries located at different levels. At present, access to both the lower and upper galleries is not possible, with only the central gallery being accessible. The mineralized bodies partially replace a diabase dike and its Lower Devonian bedrock. The last period of production ceased in 1950.
Although Cup & Wensink (1958) cite the presence of jamesonite and gersdorffite in the deposit, these minerals heve not been recognized in subsequent studies.
