A phosphate mine in Arkansas Novaculite located about 1 mile NE of Gilham on Porter Mountain (ridge). Started in 1950 and reopened in the 1970s. Ultimate closure was in 1981. Workings featured pits, shafts & adits.
Results of an extensive study of turquoise from this locality were published by Laney (2020).
