The relatively uncommon species vuagnatite was found as part of a prehnite-hydrogrossular veinlet cutting a rodingite dyke, in serpentinites of the Dun Mountain Ophiolite Belt. Vuagnatite occurs here as small equant crystals up to 1 mm, coloured brown due to small amounts of Fe, and Ti.
