Mangzhong Cu-(Mo) deposit
Porphyry copper-(molybdenum) deposit.
Is a medium porphyry Cu–Mo deposits. The exposed strata in the area primarily include the Lower Triassic Malasongduo Formation (T1-2m), which consists of light gray-green blocky rhyolite and rhyolitic gray limestone, and the Upper Triassic Jiapila Formation (T3j), composed of purple-red muddy siltstone and silty mudstone interbedded with quartz sandstone. The ore-bearing porphyries intrude into the Malasongduo Formation. The ore–bearing bodies are predominantly monzogranite porphyry, characterized by phenocrysts of potassium feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, and mica, with phenocryst sizes ranging from 0.5 to 3 cm. he ore–bearing bodies are predominantly monzogranite porphyry, characterized by phenocrysts of potassium feldspar, plagioclase, quartz, and mica, with phenocryst sizes ranging from 0.5 to 3 cm. 0.25 Mt of Cu at 0.34 %
