Vote for your favorite mineral in #MinCup26! - Quartz vs. Asagiite
It's a classic vs a newbie as the most common named mineral in the crust Quartz is up against an exceedingly-rare sea foam-green mineral discovered just a few years ago Asagiite.

Breccia pipe-hosted porphyry Mo-Au deposit.

This giant deposit contains over 0.63 million tonnes of ore with an average Mo grade of 0.079 %. Mineralization at the Leimengou deposit is hosted by the highly evolved porphyritic K-feldspar granite, dated at 131 ± 0.6 Ma, which exhibits unidirectional solidification textures. Early magnetite mineralization is related to the outer, less evolved pluton, composed of porphyritic monzogranite dates at 131.3 ± 1.0 Ma, which is inferred to be slightly earlier than the syn-ore intrusion. here are a total of 19 industrial molybdenum ore bodies, with the No. 2 and No. 40 ore bodies being the primary ones, and the No. 2 ore body is recognized as the largest. These ore bodies are characterized by an elongated rectangular plate-like shape that extends in an east–west direction, with a width of 800 to 1000 m from north to south. Most explored ore occurs above an elevation of 200 m, ranging from a minimum elevation of 144 m to a maximum of 765 m.
Four stages are identified during the mineralizing process of the Leimengou deposit:
(1) Stage I, quartz ± potassium feldspar veins in the potassic altered zone;
(2) Stage IIa, quartz + molybdenite and Stage IIb, quartz + molybdenite + pyrite ± purple fluorite veins in the silicification-phyllic altered zone), characterizing the primary Mo mineralization stage;
(3) Stage III, quartz + pyrite + sphalerite + galena ± chalcopyrite ± green fluorite ± pink calcite veins in prophylitic altered zone;
(4) Stage IV, quartz ± calcite veins in carbonatization zone.
