This mine was worked under various names for several periods of time. It was first worked for copper as Wheal Galway between 1824 and 1828, for copper and argentiferous galena as Trevone Consols from 1855 until 1859, and then again for copper as Padstow Consols until 1877. Dines refers to the mine as Cuddrabridge Mine. In addition, it shows up on the Ordnance Survey map as Guddrabridge mine, which is obviously an error, since there are no records for a mine of that name.

The lode which carries both copper and lead ores occupies a belt of crushed killas that trends parallel to the coast and crops out in the cliffs at several places. The workings extend for 400 yards along its strike, from Gunver Head in the north to Lower Merope Island in the south. Technically therefore, all minerals reported from outcrops in this area belong to this locality. The grid reference marks a shaft in the southern part of the sett, where the ground is visibly disturbed by mining operations.

As Trevone Consols, the mine sold 17 tons of copper ore between 1856 and 1857. Another 8 tons of copper ore are recorded for Padstow Consols in 1860, and 74 tons of 75% lead ore and 267 ounces of silver were produced in 1876 and 1877.
