Formerly: Dulude Quarry, Mont Saint Bruno, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Verchères Co., Québec, Canada.

This quarry is presently (2012) operated by Construction DJL Inc., Canadian subsidiary of the Eurovia Group, itself part of the worldwide Vinci group. Its actual name is "DJL - Carrière Mont-Bruno".

With an approximate size of 400m x 500m, this quarry is operating on seven levels of 15 meters each. Due to its proximity to an urban center, the management had to adopt very strict, site-specific operational practices (see web reference).

The following description was taken from the Deposit File of the MRNF (Ministère des ressources naturelles et de la faune) :

This quarry is worked in the metamorphic aureole of the Mount Saint-Bruno intrusion, the main rock type being a very fine grained, medium to dark grey hornfels (metamorphosed shale). It is transected by dykes of basic igneous rocks.

Finally, there is a fracture filled with mineralization which is very similar in nature to an occurrence in the floor of the Briqueterie St-Laurent quarry, some 21 km to the Southeast.
