Mineralogy is similar to that of Thorikos (van Kalmthout, 2012).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT the Type Locality for either laurionite or paralaurionite. While Dana's New Mineralogy, 8th ed., states "Laurium" as the type locality for both, this apparently refers to the District in general, not the slag locality at Lavrion Port. The editors of these pages were not able to ascertain which of the slag localities the original materials came from.
