About FerrihollanditeHide

Formula:
Ba(Mn4+6Fe3+2)O16
Colour:
Greyish-black, black
Lustre:
Metallic
Hardness:
4 - 6
Crystal System:
Monoclinic
Name:
Named in 2013 by C. Biagioni, C. Capalbo, M. Lezzerini, M. Pasero for being the ferric iron analogue of hollandite.
The Ba-Fe3+ end-member in the Coronadite Group was redefined as ferrihollandite (IMA 11-F; Biagioni et al., 2013).
The original type locality for hollandite is now that of ferrihollandite.

Possibly the Mn analogue of UM2003-09-O:BaFePbTi (assuming similar structure).
