A Au-Cu-Pb-Ag occurrence/prospect located in the SW¼NE¼ & in the NW¼SE¼ sec. 33, T11N, R2E, SBM, about 11.4 km ENE of Calico, along the eastern margin of the Calico Mountains (2.6 miles S of the S shore of Coyote Lake). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Shows little promise.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 5-10W at a thickness of 0.46 meter. The deposit is comprised of quartz veins at 12 to 18 inches (30 to 45 cm) thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a short adit and several pits.
Analytical data results: Samples assayed at 0.01-0.03 ounce Au & 0.1 -0.3 ounce Ag, 0.15-0.45% Cu & 0.4-0.7% Pb.
