A reported Au occurrence located in the NW¼NW¼ sec. 14, T2S, R12E, SBM, about 12.8 km ENE of Pinto Mountain (summit), along the western margin of the Pinto Basin, on National Park Service land (Joshua Tree National Park). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
