A former lode Au-Pb-Cu-Ag occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ (estimated) sec. 35, T16N, R8E & in sec. 1, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 2.5 km SE of Grass Valley proper, SSW of Union Hill and W of Cedar Ridge, just N of the N foot of Osborne Hill. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body strikes N and dips W. There are 3 parallel veins - the Green Mountain, the Sanders and the Payday. The veins carry 3% sulfides. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 76.2 meters and an overrall depth of 56.39 meters and comprised of an incline and drifts.

Production data are found in: Goodwin, Joseph Grant (1957).

Over 90% of the production was realized in 1906.

Analytical data results: The sulfides assay 3 ounces Au/ton.
