A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the NW¼ (estimated - coordinates on topo map show NE¼) sec. 11, T15N, R8E, MDM, 0.6 km (0.4 mile) SW of La Barr Meadows and about 6 km (3.7 miles) S of Grass Valley. The property comprises 80 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 35E. The vein averages 2 feet in thickness. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 152.4 meters and an overall depth of 15.24 meters and comprised of a tunnel and stopes.
