A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 9, T28S, R32E, MDM, 2.1 km (1.3 miles) WSW of Havilah, at the head of a South Fork of Jenny Lind Canyon. The property is comprised of 1 claim covering 20 acres. Owned by S. L. Simmons and S. F. McDonald, Havilah, California. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 1.83 meters thick. The vein is 2 to 6 feet in thickness. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings. The No. 1 tunnel is 100 feet long; No. 2 is 260 feet; and, No. 3 is 450 feet. At 260 feet SW of the portal of the lower tunnel there is a winze 300 feet deep sunk on the vein with levels at 100, 200 & 300 feet. The ore shoot developed in these workings is 260 feet in length, with an average width of 4 feet of quartz mineralized with pyrite and arsenopyrite. At the mouth of No. 3 tunnel level, there is a shaft sunk on an incline of 45 degrees in the footwall to a depth of 325 feet, with levels at 100, 200 & 300 feet. There is a crosscut 41 feet to the vein on the 300 foot level, with a drift on the vein 460 feet to the SW. The ore developed in these workings was said to be a heavy sulfide.

Production data are found in: Tucker, W. Burling & Reid J. Sampson (1933).

$17,000 (period values) was recoverdd from 1,000 tons of ore mined from the winze on the main tunnel level.
