A former W mine located in the NW¼ sec. 33, T7S, R32E, MDM, 7.3 km (4.5 miles) NNE of Lookout Mountain (coordinates of record), and 6.6 km (4.1 miles) SSW of West Bishop (forks of second canyon S of Bishop Creek, about 6 miles SW of Bishop) in the Sierra Nevada, on National Forest land. Operated in 1940 & 1941. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in limestone and hornfels. The ore body is irregular in form at a thickness of 4.57 meters and a length of 51.82 meters. The pendant has a length of 500 feet and a maximum breath of 250 feet. The intrusion of gabbro preceeded that of the quartz monzonite and small masses of gabbro are found at the edge of the pendant. Principal mineralization is along the SE edge of the pendant. Associated rocks include quartz monzonite and gabbro. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 164.59 meters. There is a 370 foot adit with a raise. Another adit 24 feet higher at the S end of the pendant with 130 feet of workings and a 40 foot shaft at the portal of the S adit.

Production: 200 tons of ore.

Analytical data results: Averaged 0.5% WO3.
