A Ni occurrence located in the NW¼NW¼ sec. 11, T16S, R9E, SBM, 5.1 km (3.2 miles) W of Plaster City. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: The geographic coordinates provided by MRDS for this locality placed it in San Diego County. The error was 1 degree of longitude (115° versus 116°), and was corrected accordingly.

Mineralization occurs along a contact of a quartz diorite and pyroxenite, both less than 0.5 in diameter. Ni occurs in small areas a few hundred feet apart along a 1,000 foot E-W trend. Controls for ore emplacement included a fault that terminates the mineralization at its westernmost point. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks , unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges).
