A former Mn mine located in secs. 2 & 11, T1S, R4E, HM, on Charles Mountain (7.9 km (4.9 miles) WNW of the coordinates of record for the mountain), 12.1 km (7.5 miles) SE of Bridgeville and about 12 miles N of Blocksburg.

Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Knoxville Formation (chert).
