Type:
Köppen climate type:
Tertiary magmatic rocks (pikritic leucitites to limburgites) in the vicinity. Marginal parts of the volcanic body are broken and fissures are filled with carbonates and SiO2 polymorphs.
The geological setting of the historical humboldtine and jarosite locality is quite different - it was found in weathered coal seams mined in the past near the village. Old labels may read "Kolosoruk, [near] Bilin".
