A roadside outcrop of an UHP eclogite on close to the fjord Seafood factory on the North shore of Nordfjord, Western Gneiss Region of Norway.
Glaucophane-free, quartz-stable HP eclogite with garnet porphyroblasts.
The locality was temporarily protected as a natural site, but since 1990 it has no longer this status (FOR-1990-02-28-138).

NB: The landowner does not permit hammering or collecting at this site. Please respect this.
