A-type sheet rapakivi granite in the Wichita Mountains.

The Rapakivi texture is due to depressurization of a H2O-undersaturated magma during its ascent from a temporary crustal magma trap (7-8 kilometers) to emplacement along a magma trap beneath a rhyolite volcanic pile.
