Granitoid-related vein-type gold deposit, occurring near two Mesozoic intrusions - the coarse, para-porphyritic Anjiayingzhi quartz monzonitic granite (U-Pb age: 189 Ma) and the Ma'anshan biotite granite batholith (K-Ar age: 170.8 Ma) - in a metamorphic sequence consisting of potassic feldspar granitoid gneiss, two feldspar biotite gneiss, biotite plagioclase gneiss, amphibolite and marble of the Jining Group. The vast majority of the gold-bearing veins occur in the Anjiayingzhi granite and its external conctact zone, but veins with significant grades are mostly limited to the Ma'anshan batholite and its contact zone. The gold mineralization is believed to be related to the monzonitic granite.
