Jewell tunnel
A former Au-Ag-Cu-Zn-Pb-Sn-Pyrite-Mo (trace) occurrence/mine located in the E½ sec. 1, T20N, R15W, G&SRM, 16 road miles E of Kingman, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. Owned by Lomelino and Baker, Arizona (1976). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a polymetallic deposit in a brecciated zone and vertical fractures with oxidized ore at surface and sulphides at shallow depth hosted in granite. The ore body strikes NW and dips NE at a width of 4.27 meters (15 feet) and a length of 1,609.3 meters. Associated rocks include Late Cretaceous-Neoproterozoic andesite. Local rocks include Middle Proterozoic granitic rocks.
Workings include unspecified underground openings with a length of 182.88 meters and an overall depth of 91.44 meters.
