A former underground Au-Ag mine located on the NW slope of Boulder Canyon, 2½ miles NW of Bagdad. Russell Samson located 5 claims in 1934.

Mineralization is ore that occurs in a crushed zone 3 to 5 feet wide striking west of north and dipping 35º to 40º to the east, hosted in the Butte Falls Tuff and the King Peak Rhyolite. The ore is oxidized but contains kernels of fresh sulfide, chiefly arsenopyrite and a little pyrite in quartz. Sulfides occur in bunches along a steep fault in the winze. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation at near surface. No alteration was noted. Associated rock units include diorite porphyry and aplite.

Area structures include veins parallel to dikes and foliation in metavolcanic rocks which trends N10E to N40E.

Workings include an upper adit 50 feet long and an underhand stope. Later a lower adit was driven with a connecting inclined raise to the stope. Later a vertical winze was added at the top of the raise and a short sub-level was added along the ore zone.
