Structure: Deposit In Upper Plate Of Roberts Mtn Thrust Adjacent To The Tenabo Stock. High Angle Basin & Range Faults, Numerous Dikes & Sills

Alteration: Considerable Silicification Of Host Rocks

Deposit: Brecciated fault zones the mine was operated by the cuba mining co. In the late 1930's. Development includes two shafts and subsidiary underground workings totalling several thousand feet. The property consists of 5 claims: the boulder, grant, jumbo, ajax, hercules. For a geologic map of the property see humphrey (1945).

Geology: In a shallow opening below the main shaft rich gold was encountered in the oxidized zone which extends down to 75 feet belo W the surface. The sulfide zone is predominated by arsenopyrite and pyrite. Where the altered quartzite has been shattered stringers of iron oxide carry free gold. This occurs between the 35 and 100 foot levels over a 4 foot wide zone which strikes n20w, and dips 35 degrees ne. (emmons, w.h. 1910). There are two principle mineralized cones along fractures fault zones
