Formula: Ag₂S

Description: Argentite was reported by Endlich (1878) and Wright (1954). Supergene acanthite with covellite was observed in small fractures and vugs at the Caribou mine by Francis (1987). Raines (1992) discussed the mineralogy at Caribou.
