Alteration: Silicification
Commodity: Lamping of ore showed it to be of very good grade. Averaged 0.66% wo3.
Deposit: This record has been merged with m234143 As well As m060203, m030092 and d001180 which have been deleted. Tactite bodies occur along the contact of marblized limestone/dolomite and granite. Three ore shoots occur along strike of the contact; the central ore shoot is fully developed while the other 2 are only partially developed.
Deposit type: W skarn
Development: First developed during WWII. Production from 1941 to 1957 by shrinkage stope methods from 300 feet of drifts 105 and 125 feet below the surface and 390-foot drifts from the main adit. In 1985, the main adit had an ore-bin and stockpiles of ore near the entrance, which were sampled (2921). Deposit was first explored by small adits and test pits along the outcrop zone for about 3 miles. A lease and option was obtained by stanley f. O'leary, who explored the south part of the deposit with government assistance under the dmea program, during 1953-1954. Other individuals and mining companies leased the property for short periods until 1957. Diamond drilling in 1953 indicated that ore extended at least 100 ft below the lowest adit level. Inactive in 1985; mined is locked up and appears to have been so for a considerable period of time.
