A 20km long belt of SEDEX deposits extends from Hameta Magra to Parsad.
Veins in dolomite are not mined.

The Zawar deposit is located approximately 40km south of Udaipur.

The mines in the deposit were nationalised in 1965 and the Hindustan Zinc Ltd company was formed and the mines worked by the Metal Corporation of India Ltd.
