The Continental Mine was also known as the Mégantic Mine, Lambly Mine and Paré Mine under various operators and owners. The mine has been closed since 1952.
The Megantic mine named here should not be confused with the Megantic mine originally operated by Johnson's Asbestos Co. in Black Lake. The Megantic pit was later merged with the British-Canadian pit.
