08/12/11: Claus Hedegaard deleted Marcasite from species list. Bøggild (1943) dismisses Leonhard's ID of Marcasite (Strålkis, Straalkis) from Møn and Sjælland as a mistaken ID of Pyrite. As far as I know from pers. communication by geologists, referring to 'x-ray analysis', no Marcasite is known from Denmark. The very rare crystals with Marcasite habit are Pyrite paramorphs, the radiating aggregates are likely primary Pyrite.
