The Landsverk 2 quarry is a pegmatite quarry. From the altitude map, it seems possible that Landsverk 2 and Landsverk 4 are situated in the same pegmatite, which would then be an about 500 m long and 30-100 m wide dike. There are several small quarries and prospects in the vicinity of this quarry, but only the largest of these are listed separately in Mindat as Landsverk 2a, 2b and 2c respectively.

Andersen(1931) used the name “Rumpetrollskjerpet” after a nearby bog. From on his description, it is clear that the name was applied for this quarry. This is somewhat unfortunate, as the bog is closer to Landsverk 3 than Landsverk 2.

Andersen (1931) reports that up to 300 tons feldspar was produced from this and several smaller quarries in the vicinity at that time. Only
An aerial photo from 1972 expose seemingly fresh rock, suggesting recent feldspar production at the time, but this has not been confirmed from other sources.

There have been trials to mine for molybdenite, probably without much success.

Landsverk 2 is (as of 2025) part of Evje Mineralsti, see Landsverk, Evje og Hornnes, Agder, Norway
