A uranium mine/prospect located on 4 claims in sec. 1, T5N, R13E, about 2¾ miles SSW of Rose Creek Lodge, about 4 miles NW of Asbestos Point (Asbestos Peak), and ½ mile N of the Parker Creek Experiment Station, on National Forest land. Owned by Mr. Van Baker & others.
Mineralization is a vein deposit 0.91 meters wide, with a linear ore body on a steep, South-facing slope. It is in nearly flat-lying siltstone & very fine-grained quartzite of the upper member of the Dripping Spring Quartzite. Below the deposit, a thick, locally discordant diabase sill cuts the lower member of the Dripping Spring. Radioactivity 1.0 to 3.0 mr/hr.
Workings include several bulldozed benches below the location pit.
