| ⓘ Anatase Formula: TiO2 Description: Occurances at approximately the 40 01'02"N, 76 31'31"W portion of the quarry. Microcrystals (< 0.2 mm) occuring in calcite or directly on the phyllite schist, along veinlets. Larger xtls found in upper levels within several milky quartz pods, typically 30cm by 6 to 15 m in length. Associated with Brookite occasionally as an alteration of Ilmenite. |
