Glory Hole Mine
The best description of the geology of the Patch is given by Lovering and Goddard (1950). The Patch is an oval shaped, pipe-like "patch" of breccia that plunges steeply north and extends downward more than 1400 feet, below the level of the Argo Tunnel. Mineral-bearing veins that intersect the Patch tend to disperse into stockworks.
