The southern Lubei mine field is characterized by the exposure of lherzolites and gabbros. To date, thirteen ore bodies have been delineated, all of which are associated with lherzolites and gabbros. The ore bodies measure 200–1200 m in length, 25–300 m in width, and 1–26 m in thickness. The largest ore body Ni1 has an average grade of 0.91 wt% Ni and 0.54 wt% Cu, followed by Ni2, Ni8, Ni9, Ni11, etc.. The ore body Ni5 remains concealed and is identified through the drill hole Zk0004. Overall, the Lubei mine field has grade ranges of 0.2–7.76 % for Ni, 0.2–8.1 % for Cu, and 0.01–0.25 % for Co, with averages of 1.47 %, 0.8 %, and 0.05 %, respectively.
The northern Yunhai mine field is dominated by an extensive region of diorites interspersed with minute occurrences of hornblende pyroxenite. The mine field reveals 10 ore bodies within its area. The dimensions of the ore bodies range from 80 to 440 m in length and 50 to 520 m in width. Among these, ore bodies Ni4 and Ni5 are the mother lodes, which are distributed along the southern side of diorites with the highest Ni grade of 1.34 wt%, and the highest Cu grade of 1.93 wt%. The ore bodies Ni1, Ni2, Ni3, Ni6, and Ni8 in the Yunhai mine field are relatively thinner and exhibit lower Ni grades, ranging from 0.2–0.3 wt%. The average grades of the Yunhai mine field are 0.77 % Ni, 0.44 % Cu, and 0.03 % Co.
