The intrusion is E-W trending with an exposed surface of ∼ 630 m in length and ∼ 6 to 59 m in width. It is cut by numerous granitic aplite dykes with different orientations, which are controlled by the Kanggurtag-Huangshan fault. The Baijiantan intrusion intruded into the middle-upper Carboniferous strata consisting of dacitic or andesitic breccia, tuffaceous sandstone with strong foliation, and granodiorite as the immediate country rock.
